LOOP: Odyssey Adventure

FIRST YEAR and TRANSFER STUDENTS ONLY!

The Leadership Outdoor Orientation Program (LOOP): Odyssey Adventure will be sure to kick your first year into high gear! We will gather on the SU Quad, where you will meet your peer facilitators and get to know your fellow LOOP: Odyssey Adventure participants through a series of team oriented activities, icebreakers and initiatives. The next three days will be spent developing your skills on our outdoor “Odyssey” style challenge course. During the program, you will not only get an opportunity to experience all that the high element challenge course has to offer (including the 25 foot “Leap of Faith”) but you will also “learn the ropes” so to speak, as we teach you the basics of challenge course facilitation and you develop skills that will help you on your journey through college such as; healthy relationship and trust building, effective communication, resiliency and determination, as well as the ability to think through and solve problems; not only as an individual, but as a contributing member of a team and larger community. Participants of the LOOP: Odyssey Adventure will stay in their fall assigned residence hall for the duration of the program.
