Fitness Classes

The following fitness programs are open to all Syracuse University/ESF students, faculty, staff, spouses, and domestic partners with a valid SU/ESF ID. There is a nominal fee for classes. Please note the change in class price rates, rates for Faculty, Staff, and Spouses will differ from price rates for students.

On-Line Registration

Online registration will open for Spring 2018 classes on Tuesday, January 23.    

There is a 12-person minimum on all classes; classes below the minimum will NOT be held. This is determined within the first week, so It is crucial that you register during that time in order to give a class an opportunity to take place. 

If you would like to register for a class and pay by check, you can do so in the Recreation Services Office, 003 Women's Building, M-F 8:30am-5pm. 

Paying for Fitness Classes:
We accept M/C, Visa, or Check (made out to "Syracuse University")  NO CASH

Refunds and Switching Classes:
You will need to e-mail Angie Petrie (  See below about the refund policy.

  • No refunds for Summer classes
  • Spring Drop Deadline - February 5, 2018
  • Fall Drop Deadline - September 18, 2017

With our
online registration system, you will be able to:

  • View a list of and descriptions of both open and closed fitness classes
  • Enroll for a fitness class and securely pay with your credit card
  • Receive an e-mail receipt to bring on the first day of class (no office visit required!)

If paying by check please go to our main office at 003 Women's Building to register.


There are refunds for Fall & Spring classes, if you drop a class before the Drop deadline.  You will receive a full refund, minus a $5 service fee.  There are NO refunds for summer classes 

  • There is a $20 charge on all returned checks.
  • No exceptions will be made to the aforementioned policies.

With our new and improved online registration system, you can securely pay the registration fee with your credit card. If you would prefer to pay by check, please choose the class or classes you would like, print your selections and make your payment in person at the Department of Recreation Services main office, 003 Women's Building. Your registration IS NOT guaranteed until your payment is made in full.
