Acadia National Park

Explore the only national park on the East Coast and the highest point on the North Atlantic Seaboard!

Summer Break 2019
Monday May 13th, 2019 through Saturday May 18th, 2019

On this trip we will explore Acadia National Park by land, sea, and sky (sort of – climbing over the ocean!). We will hike the famous iron wrung trails, experience breath taking ocean views, climb up cliffs overlooking the ocean, experience the sunrise before anywhere else in the US, and explore the ocean bays by kayak.


Transportation Details:

  • Ground transportation will be provided to and from Acadia National Park.

What’s Included:

  • Ground transportation from Syracuse University to Acadia National Park and back.
  • All group equipment needed for the trip.
  • Hiking in Acadia NP, rock climbing on ocean cliffs, and sea kayaking in Acadia’s bays!
  • Food & lodging

What to Bring:

  • Personal clothing and gear (more detail will be provided to interested participants).
  • A positive, fun attitude: this will be a fairly strenuous expedition style trip.
  • A willingness to listen to your instructor and to follow all applicable rules.
  • Any medication you would normally take throughout the day (e.g. Asthma Inhaler).
  • More detail on what to pack / bring will be provided to trip registrants
